MY PROFESSIONAL CAREER
- Graduated from high school at 14, the youngest in 1932, in NYC
- Entered the Navy July 1940 as Apprentice Seaman
- Attained the rank of Lieutenant Commander by the end of WWII
- Received Master's Degree at Columbia University
- Received Doctorate in Counseling Psychology at New York University
- Worked as Counseling Psychologist for the VA for 31 years at Castle Point, NY and West Haven, CT
- Career included 22 years at Yale University's Medical School
- As Yale Professor, taught criminology
- Had professional assignments at Southern CT State College and University of New Haven
- Pronounced Man of the Year in New Haven, CT
- Received award citation in person from President John F. Kennedy for work with underprivileged and handicapped
- Earned Exempt Certificate for years as a Volunteer Fireman for Chelsea Fire Dept.
- Was past President of Chelsea Fire Company
- Served as Past President of Chelsea-Brockway School Board
- Upon retirement from the VA, did volunteer work for both VFW and DAV
- During recent stay at Castle Point VA, worked on different committees
- Did volunteer private counseling until his death in 2012
