  • Graduated from high school at 14, the youngest in 1932, in NYC
  • Entered the Navy July 1940 as Apprentice Seaman
  • Attained the rank of Lieutenant Commander by the end of WWII
  • Received Master's Degree at Columbia University
  • Received Doctorate in Counseling Psychology at New York University
  • Worked as Counseling Psychologist for the VA for 31 years at Castle Point, NY and West Haven, CT
  • Career included 22 years at Yale University's Medical School
  • As Yale Professor, taught criminology
  • Had professional assignments at Southern CT State College and University of New Haven
  • Pronounced Man of the Year in New Haven, CT
  • Received award citation in person from President John F. Kennedy for work with underprivileged and handicapped
  • Earned Exempt Certificate for years as a Volunteer Fireman for Chelsea Fire Dept.
  • Was past President of Chelsea Fire Company
  • Served as Past President of Chelsea-Brockway School Board
  • Upon retirement from the VA, did volunteer work for both VFW and DAV
  • During recent stay at Castle Point VA, worked on different committees
  • Did volunteer private counseling until his death in 2012
